Overview
The initiative contributes to enabling the industrial sector and boosting its competitiveness through supporting and encouraging the Research and Innovation sector in industrial enterprises and entrepreneurs and by leveraging the innovations of national research centers to develop specialized industrial products within the sectors of the National Industrial Strategy (NIS).
Targeted Groups
- National factories.
- Inventors and entrepreneurs.
- Joint research projects between national factories and research, development, and innovation centers.
- Research projects in research, development, and innovation centers with industrial applications.
Initiative Objectives
- Maximize the number of factories engaged in the activities of research, development and innovation activities.
- Create attractive job opportunities in the industrial sector for national talented researchers.
- Develop efficient partnerships between the Industrial Sector and the Research, Development. and Innovation sector.
- Improve the quality of innovation results for the industrial sector.
- Strengthen the research and innovation capabilities of the industrial sector.
- Support the development of new innovative products and facilities in the industry.
Initiative Benefits
- Provide financial grants up to SAR 2 million to support the Research, Development, and Innovation projects in the industrial sector.
Final Deliverables
- Innovative products, procedures, or technologies.
Eligibility Criteria
- The beneficiary must be a Saudi national or hold a Saudi industrial license.
- The beneficiary must fall under the categories eligible for this initiative.
- The research project must have surpassed the basic research stage and reached advanced stages within the technology readiness levels (TRL4 to TRL7).
- The proposed research project must not have been previously supported by the Ministry and subsequently canceled for regulatory reasons. Additionally, the beneficiary must not have any unresolved technical or financial obligations from prior research projects funded by the Ministry.
- The beneficiary must possess a clear and comprehensive implementation plan for the research project, encompassing all essential elements necessary to achieve the project's objectives.
- The beneficiary must possess adequate financial capacity to effectively cover the costs of executing the research project and fully comply with all financial requirements of the initiative.

To apply for the initiative, we hope to fill out the registration form and send it to the initiative’s email, attaching the required documents and a detailed implementation plan for the project in accordance with the elements described in the instructions and guidelines.
