Issuance of a Mining License or Small Mine License

• Filling out the designated form.

• Environmental and social impact study approved by the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture.

• Site rehabilitation and closure plan in accordance with the regulations, including the cost of site rehabilitation and closure.

• Economic feasibility study for the project, including contributions to the development of local communities within or near the license site, and support for local content.

• Providing proof of technical capability and the financial ability required to efficiently and effectively carry out the proposed mining activities in accordance with the requirements specified in the law and regulations.

• Work program and project implementation plan.

• Providing a financial guarantee for rehabilitation and closure.

• Any other requirements according to the designated form.

• The applicant must be a company registered in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and its business activity must be related to the requested license.

• The company must have a minimum capital of 100,000 SAR.

• The requested site must be located within the area of a valid exploration license.

• There must be proof of the economic feasibility of exploiting the ores and minerals, as well as the availability of the necessary mineral resources and reserves.

• All obligations related to the exploration license must have been fulfilled.

 

• Fill out the online service request form on the Taadeen platform.

• Attach the economic feasibility study for the project.

• Submit the environmental permit for the site.

• Complete the work plan form.

• Fill out the form for the environmental and social impact management plan.

• Attach the rehabilitation and closure plan.

• Provide the financial guarantee.
